BEES IN THE VERY HEART OF BEAVER VALLEY (AND OURS)
buzzing bush apiary is nestled in the heart of Beaver Valley, adjacent to the beautiful Beaver River and close to stunning sections of the Bruce Trail along the Niagara Escarpment. The bee yard is situated on our daylily farm, Artemesia Daylilies. As nature lovers, daylily growers and experienced beekeepers, we invite you to come and join us as we share and uncover our knowledge of all the amazing and awe-inspiring things that go on in the fascinating world of bees. And of course a taste of our multi-floral honey!
SHARING OUR BEES (THEY WANT TO MEET YOU)
Our study and research of bees have enabled us to grow and maintain our apiary to 110 healthy colonies and many smaller versions of bigger hives (nucleus colonies). There is a lot to learn in this journey – hive management, disease prevention/control and queen rearing – to name a few – the list is long!
